Jason Carter – President

Jason Carter founded Carter Numismatics in 1996 and has since shaped the company into one of the most well respected rare coin firms in the United States.  With a wide knowledge on all U.S. coinage from colonial through 20th century, Jason also specializes in patterns, territorials, high-end type, bust, seated and barber rarities.   He is also well versed in all types of U.S. gold coins.

Widely recognized as one of the top graders in the country, Jason was the youngest member ever admitted to the Professional Numismatists Guild, a nonprofit group of the world’s top rare coin and paper money experts. He is an American Numismatic Association life member, a supporter of the Industry Council for Tangible Assets and a member of the Oklahoma Numismatic Association.

A Tulsa native who has actively traded coins since age 12, Jason is married with three children.  He enjoys music, traveling, history and playing the drums.

John Morgan – Director of Operations

John Morgan joined Carter Numismatics in 1999.  In addition to his duties as a coin salesman, he serves as director of operations where he handles the firm’s accounting, marketing, website and other “behind-the-scenes” efforts.

A 1998 graduate of the University of Oklahoma, John is a craft beer fanatic and die-hard Sooner football fan, he enjoys discussing politics and reading in his free time.  John is a Tulsa native and is married with two children.

Brett Charville - Numismatist

Carter Numismatics’ newest member is Brett Charville.  After spending years in numismatics with another firm, Brett now works as a numismatist alongside Jason Carter.  While his swath of numismatic knowledge is quite broad, Brett specializes in Morgan dollars and U.S. gold coins.

An Ohio native, Brett is a graduate of Miami University in Ohio and a member of the American Numismatic Association who spends his free time cycling, running and enjoys travel.

Daria Johns – Inventory Control Manager

Having worked in the retail and wholesale coin businesses and for the American Numismatic Association’s grading service, Daria Johns brings more than 30 years of numismatic experience to Carter Numismatics as its inventory control manager.

Daria is a member of the American Numismatic Association, the Central States Numismatic Society and the Florida United Numismatists. She enjoys spending time with her two grandchildren, reading and sailing.
