Listed below are some highlights of our current available inventory.
We are active participants at all major coin conventions and auctions throughout the year. Our goal is to provide our clients with coins that are not only truly rare, but always high-end for the grade. If you have specific rare coins needs, please let us know and we will strive to locate those items.
Although we have handled our share of Proof $20’s, this coin easily beats out the others in terms of sheer eye appeal. The contrast between the devices and fields is breathtaking! Only 93 proofs were issued this year, making it a rarity in any grade. However, this date enjoys added popularity due to its low mintage in business strike format. Only two coins have been graded higher at PCGS. While this is among the finest known from a grading standpoint, it’s hard to imagine one that’s more appealing.

1898 $20 PCGS PR66DCAM
This amazing coin is one of four graded as such by PCGS, and it is hard to imagine the other three could match its appeal. From an original proof striking of just 75 coins, this coin is among the finest few known to survive. The surfaces are crystal clear with striking black-on-white contrast between the fields and design elements. The reflectivity is deep and completely free of hazing. This coin would fit into the finest set of proof $20’s, a world class type set, or any assemblage of “trophy pieces”. Proof $20’s are the crème de la crème to many collectors and this coin truly delivers.
$175,000
1928 $20 PCGS MS67
Although a 1928 Saint is hardly an numismatic rarity, one must consider that the survival rate in MS67 is less than one thousandth of one percent compared to a mintage exceeding 8.8 million pieces. This is among the 69 finest graded coins at PCGS. The surfaces display a wonderful texture with a satiny appearance and complete lack of major distractions. A tinge of orange coloration attests to its originality. Ideal for a high grade set of Saints or a superb gem U.S. gold type set.
$13,800
1883 5c J-1704 NGC PR67 Ultra Cameo
Similar in design to the 1883 Liberty nickel, except the stars are replaced with the legend UNITED STATES OF AMERICA. The reverse has a central inscription that reads PURE NICKEL, surrounded by a wreath of cotton and corn. Struck in nickel with a plain edge. These fascinating coins are struck in pure nickel, which must have been very difficult to strike up properly. They also are magnetic. About a dozen pieces are known and this piece is tied for finest known. The fields are deeply reflective and completely untoned. All raised devices are well-frosted and create incredible eye appeal. A perfect combination of quality and rarity.
